Hi peeps,
They've released a new patch 1.31 for Wolfenstein.
It fixes Spawn,revive issues as well as a few other MP issues.

There's a full update for any version and a lite version if you already have ver. 1.3.

i may be wrong but i was under the impression that this was a patch for servers and that regular d00des wouldnt need it!

Did i get the wrong end of the stick?

Also, didnt 1.3 come with an 'auto update' feature?

Hope RTCW doesnt turn into another Q3 with people on differnt sides of the coin all the time.

my understanding was it is a suggested patch for everyone. i think there was a some bugs with 1.3 when it came out so they put this one out.

i only see a 1.3 patch on that page... so wadda deal then..?

This update is supposed to fix the problem of getting stuck in walls and doors after you get revived near one of them. Also supposed to fix the 'teleport' cheat which is a side effect of the original 1.3 patch. Some guy was bragging how he did this in a game wif me yesterday...
The download window where you only see one type of patch has little black scrollbar arrows on the right side of it...you gotta scroll down a bit to find the lite version.
The lite version is about 5.4mb and full is 8-9 roughly...

Some people already have reported problems connecting to 1.31 servers when they only have 1.3 so get it...

ok since updating to 1.31 this afternoon ive had nothing but probs... heres a copy of what iveposted on rtcwuk's forum after seeing 1 other refering to my kinda prob:

that is the exact same prob i got once updating to 1.31 Lite. it just sits there ticking away & never connecting. So i reinstalled & updated with the full 1.31 patch.... it still does the same so i reinstalled again & only went to 1.3, now i can get in some servers within rtcw itself, but i cant get to any with MircScout or the Eye
im totally outta ideas.... if anyone has any suggestions let me hear them plzzzzzzzzz.

The patch changes files in the RTCW directory that DO NOT get changed when you reinstall...they never get overwritten when you reinstall wolf. If you run the uninstall and DONT remove the hidden files that remain, a reinstall will NOT remove the changes to those files...

You need to save your maps outta there and run the uninstaller from the start-programs. Then you have to either delete your wolf directory, or empy it with the 'show all files' options on so it is completely empied. Now a reinstall of wolf and whatever patch should take....

If like me you're having trouble playing 'Ice' map with your 1.31 upgrade then this file should do the trick:-

Yes, 2 sides of the coin...
There are 2 versions of mp_ice out now...the first version that came with 1.3 update, and the fixed version that comes with 1.31 update. They are not compatable with each other...this 'patch' which is really just the newer version of mp_ice, will allow 1.3 users to play ice map on 1.31 servers.
If U have 1.31 update, you cant play the older version of mp_ice anymore so if U have problems playing it online, that server probably has the older 1.3 version and not the new one.
