So...people are talking about the Cowboys more than they have in some time. Some fanatics going so far as calling them "the bestest team around" even when they are far from their performance in the 90's. To be fair, I think they are moving in the right direction again at least. But the best team? c'mon, don't fool yourselves!
Last night put a giant exclamation point on the statement that the cowboys are overrated.

If the Cowboys are overrated because they lost to the best team in the NFL then every team is overrated.

"They're a good team. I wouldn't say they're the best.'' quoteth a certain loud-mouthed cowboy, i'll leave it up to you to figure out who it was :p

Really dont see them as the best time around. I dont like it that just because a team has money makes them the top dogs, kind of like the Yanks in BB. Just bothers me. :(
The patriots are middle of the nfl in terms of salary expense, and every team is salary capped in the nfl, so the 'wealthy team' excuse doesnt work for football.

I'm a Cowboy's fan and it's unfortunate loss to the better team. At least Romo didn't throw 100 interceptions like last weekend though. That was just horrible. Wasn't a "bad" game though. I enjoyed it - even though it was a loss.

Again, I consider myself a Cowboys fan...but even I am not going to lie to myself that they are the best team. They are good, but there's better right now.
Maybe within a few years, they'll have returned to their former glory. Until then, they are still more than decent.

Well, I lol'd at least!
But anyway, the Cowboys are going to need a good bit of work to truly be at the top of their game again. A few players need to be replaced, and the team just needs to properly gel together well enough. Teamwork is truly key to becoming a Super Bowl team.

Anyone notice that most all teams with the money get all the good players, isn't that just like high school all over again? Okay, some of the players are worth it, but come on, it seems like its a popularity contest. I don't care if they got the money, if they got the skill is why I watch.

Waglet: I think we all watch, mainly because of skill. That and entertainment, and strategies etc.
Unfortunately, few players seem to play for the "love of the game anymore. They do it for money, fame, crap like that. And many of them now think it's OK to have criminal records.
