I have a fairly tough skin. If you see any issues let me know. Tweaking the boards will take some time. This is a Release Candidate and not the final stable version. When the stable is released it will have more images to add to the fray amongst other things.

Anyway, please bear with us. We are getting there. :)

Ooh, ooh, pick me! :wave

Could the smilies that show up when you write a post be different, say to the ones that were before the upgrade, as otherwise we'll have to start banning more people or learn to play the guitar. :) I know you've only just got it up, but you did say you have a hard skin. :D

These are the same smilies that were there prior. They may be located differently in the list, but if you click More under the first row of smilies you will be able to access the others. :)

I know, it's just that I'm too lazy to wait for the new screen with all the smilies to show up, plus these guys :thewave are nearly off the screen.

Oh, I noticed that some people's names in who's logged on have plus signs next to them, you being one. What the heck is that? (I guessed that smilie, so if it's wrong it's staying like that, because I'm too lazy to fix it! :) )

Not sure on the plus sign thing. Still learning some of this. :)

Found out what it means, members in your buddies list have a '+', members in your ignore list have a '-'. :)

Good to know that. That is something I wasn't aware of.

I have a very big issue! I can no longer get to the hompage. When I go to www.gamegeneration.net all I get is a black page.
This is especially annoying since I just got the password. Somebody help please!

Two things Drummerboy and I will make a new thread about this. First, it's possible you dont have Flash Player installed that will run the Flash Intro. I will check to see if Mrp hard coded it to install by default in the event it is needed.

What you can do is go download the software here. (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash)

Also, if you want to bypass the flash intro and go straight to the homepage just go here: www.gamegeneration.net/main :)

We have a work around in place now until we can get a more permanent and more professional looking option.

Thanks very much for the "Moving Avatar/Profile Location" tutorial!

I really didn't care for the profile info on top of the posts, but the fact that it's customizable per user is a cool feature.

GE have their usernames in different colours depending on the usergroup, and I'm very jealous. :) Any chance of getting this hack for GG?

Possibly. I am working on Gaming Clan MOD permissions. If I can resolve the issue with colored online users in vB3 that I had in vB2 I likely will.

I'm happy that vB3 is setup not to confuse Gaming Clan MODS from regular MODS this time. That was annoying with vB2.

Do you have another computer that you can check it on Oobahi? I personally dont have that problem, but if you can test it on another computer that could help us figure it out.

Could you change the order of the smilies in the 'more' pop-up, say put them in alphabetical order? It'll be easier to use them then. :)

It's much easier to just remember the coding for them.

Yeah, I just use the codes- it's not as if you're going to use all the smilies all the time- ones like :thumb, :D. and  you can just learn. If there is a special event, like a birthday, then you'd have to bring up the 'More' box anyway, so no worries.

Here is something I found outa while ago. I didn't mention it earlier cos I thought it would be resolved;
When viewing whos online it actually tells you what Roody is doing instead of Sorry, no peeking Drummerboy! ; )
as the old one did.

Yes, I am aware of that. That previous feature was a hack of the vB2 code. In all honesty I may attempt to add that again in the future.

Ever since we've upgraded to vb3 Trent can't go into his gay porn forum and post new pictures because he know's you guys can see what he's doing on the forums with the who's online feature. So you can bet he'll be adding that back in as soon as he can :D

yeah, yeah  , LOL. You just want me to do all your work for ya. Well, fortunately, this one was so easy that Zachary could probably do it in a year or two. It's as easy as 1 - 2 - 3, literally!! Go into the smilie manager and number them in the order you want them to appear. That's it.

If the quick reply is automatically enabled, threaded and hybrid modes will cease to function properly, vbulletin will no longer know which reply applies to which thread.

It's actually a huge step forward. The things you can do with vB3 that you couldnt do with vB2 is stunning.

I forgot about the threaded view. Reminds me of the old days, as you don't see them much anymore.
