Seeing as how Gamegen has a suprior system of folding, I'm here to humbly beg for info.
A) whats the difference between your client and the normal one?
B) how do you get those shiny little sig stats?
C) whats the difference between the EOC stats and the standard stats? and how do you sign up for them?
And one more techincal question: Is it possible to run multiple clients on one comp?

I run the non-graphical client that launches at startup. It uses less processing power and runs quicker IMO.
B) how do you get those shiny little sig stats?
You can build them using a link I provided in this forum. I will have to look for it.
C) whats the difference between the EOC stats and the standard stats? and how do you sign up for them? Not sure how it breaks down with those two. If you want to join a team though you just have to download the FAH client and enter team #37697
And one more techincal question: Is it possible to run multiple clients on one comp?
Only if you have a computer running multiple processors

There are two types of clients. The graphical and the Console. The graphical version will show pretty pictures of your proteins folding. This leads to slower folding. The console version does only what it's told to do, fold. Of course, you can use Electron Microscope III to view the progress, and even get a frames breakdown (time and progress).
B) how do you get those shiny little sig stats?
if you're talking about the grey boxes at the bottom, i believe Scott linked to where you can get your own progress box. Other than that, i've no idea what you're talking about.
C) whats the difference between the EOC stats and the standard stats? and how do you sign up for them? EOC processes the information past what Stanford will show you automatically. They'll give you more info. that's about it. and it's free, as long as it will locate your username...
And one more techincal question: Is it possible to run multiple clients on one comp?
Yes. Simply create new and uniquely named folders for each client. Also, you must change the machine client ID. If you are using the console version to do this, you must reconfigure it using the -config flag. If you don't know how to use flags, simply go to your run line, browse to the console exe, and at the end hit space, and add "-config" without the quotes. If you start all of these up, and have them get work units in batches, you can get around 80 Work Units queued up for your system i believe. If you run multiple clients at once, they will slow each other down, though you will get roughly the same progress, just distributed across the clients.
Also, if you have a dual processor rig, it is optimal to run 2 clients for around a 20% extra yield.
*edit*
ahh, roods is faster, though i'm correct. Read what i have to say, for i am the superior folder to Roody (though listen to him elsewise, he's teh godlike).

I found the link to the sig (http://www.statgfx.com/statgfx/getlink.cgi?service=folding), I'm in a team already. How do you sign up on there though? And so the client up there is just the command line one? Does it minimize to the task bar also?

sign up... on the sig site? or creating a new team? i'm not sure what you're asking. the sigs are free, and don't requiring any registration...
if you go to http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html you will find the assorted clients you can use.
The command line one can do two things, depending on how you decide to work it. Either A: you can run it and you'll have a command prompt box up at all times it's running
or B: you install it as a service upon configuration, and either reboot your computer or X out of the box and manually start up the service. If you start it as a service it will only be visible in your Task Manager under Processes

I meant signing up on the EOC site. I couldn't find the link to sign up for it.
I have the graphical client, but I'm gonna try out the command one if its better.

you don't need to sign up...? i've never had to.
And the command line has less overhead, so is SLIGHTLY faster.

How do you install it as a service? Or get to the config file for the command
Edit: oh, I didn't read the part about it just getting stats off the standford site. My bad.
And yes, I am an idiot. ;)

If you already configured and didn't tell it to install as a service, and need to reconfigure, go to your RUN line. browse to your .exe for F@H, select it, then when the .exe's location is in your run line, go to the end of the line, hit space, and add "-config" without the quotes. This will force the console client to reconfigure. select YES when asked if you want to install it as a service.
