When I play certain movies i get image but no sound. This is only with 2 or 3 movies. Could the problem be the movies it self or could it be the movie player or codec.
i got the divx codec 5.0.2, i tried to see the movies at windows media player 7, asus dvd 2000. divx player 2.0 alpha and divx player 1.0.0.1.
could u guys help me out?

wat are u talking... DVDs..? AVIs..? VCD...? Mpegs...? WMVs...?
system spec will probably help too.. OS version etc.

Ah divx questions. This i can relate to.

Ok let me guess, if you play it in media player it says downloading codec, it acts like it installs and then no sound. If so, you're missing the divx audio codec(v3?). It was a hacked windows media codec which is why it thinks it found it on the internet but it doesn't work. You need to search for a codec pack, possibly called Nemo's codec pack that will install this. If not its at my house and i could possibly give it to you tomorrow.

the movies are mpegs, my os would be XP home dutch version.
When i look at the proportions ( my version is dutch is translate it as best as i can, could be not totaly correct ) then audio i see by the movie that works: sound... mpeg layer 3, by the one that doesn't work: windows media audio v2.

My system spec. is: Athlon XP 2000+, 256mb ddr, geforce 4 ti 4400, motherboard asus a7v333

Null_Vector i looked for the nemo codec pack, but coudn't find it so could u give me the site where i can download it from?

thnx for the reply's. But by both links i get the message when i want to download that the file can no't be found :( . Or i tried to download the wrong file. So could some one give the exact location where i can download that file?

ok try this mate,

hit the link i gave you above, then hit the big download button in the middle of the screen.

the page then changes to a 'redirecting' type page, then goes to the forbidden link or whatever it is (yes i get it to). If you hit the BACK button you get taken to the 'redirecting page as you would expect. Then, strangly, i get a download box pop up. Just select save location and away you go with nemopack 8.

If that still doesnt work, let me know and ill just down it and add it to my own webspace for you.
